Long Distance Ground Transport
For inter-facility transports under two hundred miles, air transport is not cost effective, and some non-critical patients prefer the cost savings of even longer distance ground transport. Intensive Air Ambulance has the resources to transport the patient comfortably in a ground ambulance while providing skilled medical care, at a cost significantly below that of air transportation.

Commercial Airline Escort Service
Commercial airline medical escorts offer a lower cost alternative to air ambulance transport for patients who are medically stable.  Patients qualify who are able to sit in a first class seat and who meet commercial airline guidelines.

Intensive Air Ambulance provides a complete bedside-to-bedside service including medical evaluation, commercial airline clearance, scheduling, ticketing, ground transportation, coordination between sending and receiving facilities, trip reports and insurance paperwork.

Our flight nurses will provide monitoring equipment, hygienic assistance and all necessary aid, such as administering medication.

Commercial Rail Escort Service
One of our most cost effective means of patient transport is Amtrak Medical Escort.  Prices are well below air and long distance ground transport. 

Patients are accompanied by a critical care nurse or paramedic in a sleeper car on a passenger train. Our nurses provide bedside-to-bedside assistance including supplying monitoring equipment, hygienic assistance and all necessary aid, such as administering medication.

We provide a complete service for your patient including medical evaluation, commercial clearance, scheduling, ticketing, ground transportation, coordination between sending and receiving facilities, and trip reports. 

Charter Airline Escort Service
If a patient chooses to fly in a chartered aircraft, but still needs some additional assistance, Intensive Air can provide medical professionals to help with the trip. In addition, we provide you a complete medical service including medical evaluation, travel assistance and the added precaution of a full complement of advanced life support medical equipment and medications in the event of an unplanned medical event.

International Stretcher
Patients traveling internationally may qualify for our commercial airline stretcher service.  This option offers a cost saving of up to 50 percent of the cost of air ambulance, while still providing the highest level of medical care. International patients are stretchered aboard a commercial jet with full advanced life support equipment by our international medical crew.

Our flight coordinators will manage all aspects of the trip including communicating between sending and receiving physicians, gaining airline medical clearances, obtaining visas, ticketing, coordinating between international hospitals, ambulances, government agencies, and scheduling.
